Sabrina sat on a bench at the park, pouting in annoyance. She wasn't one to hang around in the park much at all, but Phoenix and Elektra dragged her along for battle training. The three did sword-fighting after school in case they ever needed it for defense, but right now, Elek and Ixie, as Sabrina often called them, were training with each other because Sabrina was too tired- okay, too lazy- to join in.
Sitting back, Sabrina closed her eyes. She frowned and opened them to see a girl standing nearby, "Hey! You're blocking my sunlight!" The pale girl yelled in annoyance.

The tall, tan-skinned girl nearly leaped out of her skin. Her long hair was pulled back in a braid and it swished as she turned. [be]"Sorry," [/be]she said, the confidence in her voice contrasting with the way she had reacted. Feeling bored, she walked to the other side of the girl who had yelled at her. She seemed a few years older. [be]"Hullo,"[/be] she said. [be]"I'm Alauri."[/be]

Raising an eyebrow, Sabrina stood. She really wasn't one for introductions or friendliness, but with her best friends busy training, what else was there to do? Best not to get a bad reputation. [be]"Sabrina." [/be]Sabrina said. [be]"Fourteen years old. New to high school."[/be] She wasn't one who could easily tell others' ages, and so she asked, [be]"How about you?"[/be]
(I feel like I'm copying with bolding my text, but I do it on another RP, too, so eh. XD)

[be]"I'm twelve,"[/be] Alauri replied, stretching. [be]"I'm in 7th grade."[/be] She could tell that the girl was only talking to her out of lack of things to do. So what? Alauri thought.

Hearing a song she didn't want to hear at that moment start to play, Sabrina quickly pulled her iPod out and switched it to something more suitable to her current situation and readjusted her headphones. [be]"Do you like cats?"[/be] Sabrina sometimes wanted to keep her half-cat..ness.. a secret, while other times she didn't care. This was one of the times when she didn't particularly care, and she was interested about who was and wasn't a cat around this city.

The question took Alauri by surprise. [be]"Yes,"[/be] she said cautiously, her hand involuntarily going to the necklace she wore. Her eyes searched the other girl's face, looking for some hint of where her question led. If she was one of them, then Alauri would have given it away by touching the necklace hidden beneath her shirt.

Sabrina smirked and closed her eyes again, Heh, figured as much. It looks like she is one. But maybe I could be wrong. Looking around for any signs of people looking, Sabrina grabbed her necklace and held it up, [be]"Midnightstar of CaveClan. CaveClan ring a bell?"[/be]

A smile spread across Alauri's face. [be]"Briarstar, JungleClan," [/be]she said- her smile almost forming to a smirk. She had the strangest sense of liking Sabrina and being disgusted by her.

Sabrina nodded at this, [be]"How is JungleClan? I've heard it's a pretty dangerous place. CaveClan is quite safe, if I do say so myself."[/be] Sabrina said, trying her best to be careful about what she said. She wouldn't give away what the camp was, as if it wasn't obvious, though, of course, one never knows how ignorant another can be, and she wouldn't give away the fact that they only had four cats so far.

Fourteen-year-olds are always superior to twelve-year-olds, and I'm no exception. I look down on kids like you. Sabrina thought in amusement, [be]"I'm sure you do, being you've been in your Clan for a long time."[/be]
[be]"Hey, what's up?"[/be] Another fourteen-year-old, this time a male, walked up behind Sabrina and set his arm on her head, making her growl in annoyance, before quickly moving his arm to his side instead.
[be]"Nothing, Ix."[/be] Sabrina replied. [be]"This is Phoenix. You call him Phoenix. I call him Ixie or Ix. If you dare call him either of those nicknames, you can consider yourself dead."[/be] She muttered with a glare at the girl.

The smile stretched wider on Alauri's face. [be]"Don't tempt me,"[/be] she said with a sharp edge to her voice. She looked at Phoenix curiously. Cute, someone likes her, she thought- a few things to call Sabrina running through her mind. [be]"Hello,"[/be] she greeted.

Biting her lip, Sabrina resisted the urge to throw her fist at Alauna's face. What an annoying twelve-year-old.
[be]"Hi!"[/be] Phoenix greeted cheerily. Sabrina almost did what she normally did when Phoenix angered her: Punched him in the stomach with the side of her fist. She didn't do it too hard, just enough to show that he had annoyed her, but she didn't do it at all this time, for the fear that Alauna might have some sort of reaction that Sabrina didn't want.
Instead, the fourteen-year-old stood still. [be]"He's my boyfriend here and mate in the cat world. Fireclaw."[/be] Sabrina continued glaring at the girl, a wave of protection filling her gaze. Phoenix held the same protecting tone to his eyes as he looked at Alauna, for he sensed how Sabrina felt, in a way.

Sabrina laughed, [be]"You amuse me. You really do!"[/be] She loved Phoenix, but would she ever admit that to anyone but Elektra and Phoenix himself? Psh, yeah, right, [be]"What, you think that glare, that attitude, that was all real? Ha!"[/be] Sabrina trusted Phoenix with her life, why wouldn't she trust him around a twelve-year-old? [be]"Manipulation's one of my best subjects."[/be] Sabrina said, her green eyes lighting up significantly.
Looking down, Phoenix sighed. The sad part was that the protection in his eyes was real, and Sabrina was very independent. Things like this situation happened often. He just wanted to protect her, but she usually ignored that at all costs. [be]"I'm going to assume you two were talking before I came over.. So, what's your name and Clan?"[/be] Taking a step away from Sabrina, Phoenix offered his right hand to Alauna for an introductory handshake.
